Black Americans thinking that the US owes them something; because their ancestors were slave, isn't just. The US was the first nation to fight for the freedom of Africans. The white men that fought under the direction of Pres. Lincoln, knew what they were fighting for and in one battle at Antietam, MD, 23,000 men died fighting over the freedom of slaves, Pres. Lincoln gave his life for the freedom of slaves. In 1960's Martin Luther King died to restore the equality & quality of life for the African-American people. And with the help of the white national guard under the direction of white Pres. Kennedy, desegregated the people of the US. Pres. Kennedy gave his life for the equality of blacks in the US. It seems when someone is responsible for the equality of color people, they are shot and killed; and this includes Mahatma Gandhi. African slavery started 2000 yrs before white US joined the slave market and 100 years before it ended in the United States..
